SIN, SINS AND THE SINNER (PART 3)

Our Freedom- The Applications of The Cross. God provided the solution to all of man's problem in one person and with one singular act. The Person of Jesus on the Cross. This is God’s master stroke! Whatever the problems man could ever have or be going through at whatever plane of existence, God is not providing many solutions to solve the many problems but one- the crucified Lord. That is why this ought to be the only message of the Church. “The Message that points to Christ on the cross seems like sheer silliness to those who are hellbent on destruction, but for those on the way of salvation, it makes perfect sense” (1Cor1:18 MSG) This is what the gospel is all about and herein lies power of God  to save all those who will believe. Indeed the work for the redemption of man had long been completed, but yet we still see man being subject to the many problems that had plagued his life and his world. Though the work had been done and the solution provided, there yet remains...

SIN,SINS AND THE SINNER (PART2)

In our world today, political enemies today can be political friends tomorrow. And as a saying goes "We break up to make up". There is only one way to put an end to any and all kinds of relationships so that it can never be reestablished: that is death of one of the party involved in the relationship.  Death puts to an end to a covenant relationship of marriage. Some rulers have been in the seat of power for years and have kept perpetuating their being in that seat but death will bring an end to their romance with power. Some big business owners who have built their whole life relationships around their businesses can be certain that one day, it will all come to an end by death. The dead has no relationship with the living. Men may seek to relate with the dead, but all such are only manipulations of darkness. Romans 6:7 says "For when people die, they are set free from the power of sin"   Only death can sets a soul free from it relationship with Mr Sin. Here ...

SIN, SINS AND THE SINNER (PART1)

Sin is that power or principle that motivates us to commits sinful acts. It is what the bible refers to the natural man, the flesh, the old man or the lower life. Sins are the particular individual sinful acts we commit. It relates to our conducts and can be enumerated. Sinner is that soul yet under the control of the principle or power of sin. Their Relationship. When God created man, he was made a living soul. God wired the soul with desires  as a force to maintain the a balance of all creation. He told Adam He had given him the fruits of the trees for food because he knew hunger- that desire for food will come in place. God channeled rivers through Eden because thirst - desire for water will come in place. He set him in the garden to work and dress it because the sense of purpose will be stirred which finds fulfillment in work. When Adam disobeyed  He displaced God’s rule over his soul through man spirit and  a new principle or lord came into place - Mr S...

FORGIVENESS (PART 3)

I mentioned earlier that for one to be able to truly forgive, we must receive that grace to forbear. That ability to patiently and politely refrain or hold back from acting in the face of provocation. The true test of having that ability to forbear was portrayed in Peter's question to the Lord in Matt 18:21-22 (see also Luke 17:1-6) - "how many times do I forgive a brother or sister who hurts me? Peter may at least be willing to do so seven times in a lifetime. But to forgive someone seven times in a day or four hundred and ninety times in a lifetime is way beyond human ability. Then they all cried out to him asking "Give us more faith."  What is actually needed is grace- the divine enablement God grants to men to go beyond their own abilities. Friends, there is grace for everything. We must keep going before the Throne of Grace to find grace to help us in our times of trials and temptations. I have discovered that the grace I received to forbear and forgive John ...
