BELIEVING BEFORE UNDERSTANDING
Salvation is the most misconstrued doctrine in the church circle today in spite of its simplicity. Salvation is simple but man is complex and tends to complicate every matter by his effort to understand the matter. Salvation is first of all a matter to be believed rather than understood. Understanding salvation can only come after you have believed it, not before - the bane of the elite and educated.
"Brothers and sisters, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards not many were influential; not many were of noble birth." (1 Corinthians 1:26).
Many are becoming believers after having some kind of understanding from what the preacher said. Such will soon fall away unless the order is reversed - believing before understanding.
"Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the Kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it." Mark 10:15 (NIV).
