GOD WANTS TO BE KNOWN

Text: Genesis 1;1-3
 "...darkness was on the face of the deep..."(Gen 1:2). Darkness means absence of light or knowledge. God is the Deep (Job 41:32). Nothing was known about Him.  He wanted to be known. The Self-Existent wanted His personality to be expressed in His creation. He wanted an expression of His Greatness, His Mighty Powers, His Glory, His Wisdom, His Beauty, His Riches, His Strength and His Majesty.

"Then God said..." (Gen 1:3) The easiest way to expressi one's self is by speaking. Nothing was known about God until he spoke. The gospel according to John throws more light on the beginning. Here, we read that the Word was there in the beginning, unspoken. The Word was there with God, but amazingly, that same Word was God.(John1:1)
 JESUS  is the "brightness of His (God's) glory and the express image of His person." Jesus is the Invisible God's expression of Himself to humankind. All of creation came into existence through and by Jesus- the Word.
God's desire to be known has not changed. He has declared, "I am your God" throughout the ages, and His invitation to you to come and know Him is still open.

"Come now and let us reason together..." (Isaiah 1:18)

Come to Me,... (Matt 11:28).

He is personally delivering His Invitation to you at your door.

"Behold, I stand at the door and knock." (Rev. 3:20)

Listen to His voice and open for Him.

(John 1:5 DARBY) I will go more with the Darby's translations of this verse in bringing home the reality of this scriptures to us.  The light appears in darkness, and the darkness apprehended it not.  To apprehend means to take hold of or to seize. It means to take hold of with the understanding, i.e. to conceive in the mind. The word "apprehend" clearly expresses a key behavior of darkness. Have you ever wondered why whatever you place in front of a little baby, he/she would always want to take hold of it even if that object could hurt him/her. A SEAMLESS OPERATION

A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you; and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh. Ezek 36:26 (ASV) It will be easy enough to comprehend and believe that aspect of God giving us a new spirit, since we are usually oblivious to the existence of our spirit. So when we ask for a new spirit even at conversion, we are told to believe that God has done it. Indeed, He has! But before that promise of a new spirit is; A new heart... will I give you... How will this happen? When does this take place? The easy way out of these questions is to assume that the heart referred to here may have to be the ‘spiritual heart.’ “It just got to be spiritual...“ one would say. Well, think again... All Have Gone Astray

Isaiah 53:6 - All we like sheep have gone astray, we have turned every one to his own way;... God's declaration is clear. He said 'ALL' (meaning everybody) have gone in the wrong direction. He knows we have all gone in the wrong direction, but the biggest issue is whether we have realised that we are heading in the wrong direction. A thousand people will have a thousand ways they are heading because EVERYONE has turned to their own way, which means 1000 wrong ways. We may have hundreds of logical reasons to prove that the way we are heading is right, but have you ever wondered what brought God to this conclusion?  Consider Proverbs 14::12: "There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death." I implore you my dear friends, to take time to really consider your ways, whether it be the Way. God bless you all.
