Ask... but cut to the chase.

“Ask, and it shall be given you ...” Matt 7:7 (ASV)
“...ye have not, because ye ask not.” James 4:2 (ASV)
“Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss,..” James 4:3 (ASV)
Asking is an expression of a desire or need. If you don’t ask, you won’t have it.
You then need to know what exactly you want and go straight to the point because
“...your Father knows the things you need before you ask Him.” Matt 6:8 (HCSB)
If what you are asking for is what He knows you urgently need, He wastes no time granting your request. He knows the condition of your heart and He is more than willing to fix the problem, but you will have to ask Him for it.
Example of ways one may ask
- You may want to ask Him to reveal the truth of this scripture to you by exposing the intents and hidden motions of your heart (for the adventurous ones)
“The king answered unto Daniel, and said, Of a truth your God is the God of gods, and the Lord of kings, and a revealer of secrets,...”
Dan 2:47 (ASV)
- You may even ask that He removes the deceitfulness and wickedness thereof (for the sanctimonious ones)
“Who perceives his unintentional sins? Cleanse me from my hidden faults.” Psalms 19:12 (HCSB)
- The best and what I advice is for you to ask for a new one (for ‘chase-cutters’)
